Yongergnow Australian Malleefowl Centre is a multipurpose facility dedicated to Malleefowl conservation and local community development.
Nestled within 5 hectares of native bushland, our center features vermin-proof fencing and two spacious aviaries, ensuring a secure environment for these iconic Australian birds. The aviaries are home to the only Malleefowl available for public viewing to help raise awareness of the Malleefowl and their mallee habitat.
Visitors can view our multi-media interpretive display, designed to enlighten visitors about the fascinating world of the malleefowl and the importance of conservation efforts. Discover unique characteristics of these remarkable birds, delve into their habitat in the mallee scrublands, and uncover the local history intertwined with their existence.
Yongergnow Café offers homemade pies, cakes, barista coffee and seasonal meals. Take advantage of the indoor eating area or the deck and relax with a coffee and a bite to eat.

Our retail area offers Ongerup and Malleefowl souvenirs, wildflower and bird publications and much more! Yongergnow is also home to an art gallery that houses temporary displays of art.
