Yongergnow is a multipurpose facility dedicated to Malleefowl conservation and supporting the local community through education, tourism and environmental awareness.
The centre encompasses five hectares of native bushland, including two large predator-proof aviaries that provide a safe habitat for Malleefowl and offer visitors a rare opportunity to observe these remarkable birds.
Visitors can also explore our multimedia interpretive displays to learn more about Malleefowl conservation, local history and the unique biodiversity of the region.
Explore the bushland and gallery
Yongergnow’s bush walk trail has been upgraded to showcase the diversity of native flora found throughout the region.
Many plants along the trail have been identified and labelled by local and regional wildflower enthusiasts, creating an engaging self-guided experience for visitors.
The trail also provides excellent seasonal birdwatching opportunities, with Purple-gaped Honeyeaters among the most commonly observed species feeding on flowering moort trees.
Visitors can also browse our retail area, featuring Malleefowl souvenirs, local products, wildflower guides and bird publications.
